Buddie Ray Hawkins

Buddie Ray Hawkins, 69, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at his daughter's home. He was born in Sullivan County and was a lifelong resident. Buddie was a retired truck driver and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He attended Pleasant View Baptist Church. Buddie enjoyed fishing and loved his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Gladys Hawkins, and his brother, Roy John Hawkins.

Buddie is survived by two daughters, Pamela Hawkins of Kingsport, and Tina Williams and husband, Gary of Kingsport; three sons, Richard Hawkins of Nashville, Brian Hawkins of Kingsport and Brandon Lohaus of Wisconsin; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Geraldine Houser and husband, Junior of Temple, TX, and Shirley Ketron and husband, Neal of Murfreesboro; brother, Charles Hawkins and wife, Nancy of Kingsport; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 3, 2014 from 6-8:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 4, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Michael Culbertson officiating at Mountain Home National Cemetery. Military Rites will be conducted by American Legion Posts 3/265.
