Campbell Dean Lewis, 77, of Jonesborough, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 1, 2010, at Johnson City Medical Center.
Son of the late Everett Matthew and Ola Kate Moore Lewis, he was a member of Valley View United Methodist Church. Dean enjoyed life, loved talking to people, and never met a stranger. He loved farming and being outdoors. He worked as a milk truck driver for several years, and also was a Washington County school bus driver.
Survivors include his daughter, Lisa Brown, of Jonesborough; son Rick Lewis and wife, Denise, also of Jonesborough; grandchildren, Corey Brown, Phillip Luke Adkins, and Daniel Adkins; and brother, Bill Lewis, of Jonesborough.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Wednesday evening at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Fall Branch. Services will be conducted at 7:00 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Greg Davis officiating.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 Thursday at Sulphur Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Lewis, Steve Lewis, Billy Joe Lewis, Don Lewis, Daniel Adkins, Dale Ford, and Michael Ford. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 9:50 a.m.
