Callie Crawford

Callie Crawford, 86, Kingsport, went to be with the Lord and the love of her life, Rev. John Crawford, on Monday, January 25, 2016. She was a member of Walker's Fork Baptist Church. Callie was a homemaker and a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. John Crawford; two sons, Dennis Paul Crawford and Kenneth "Duke" Crawford; parents, App and Grace Murray; sister, Georgia Purkey; and brother, Bob Murray.

Callie is survived by three daughters, Connie Crawford; Donna Jones and husband, Doug, and April Crawford-Nunley and husband, Dale; five grandchildren, Kevin, Felicia, Travis, Dennis and Elaine; eleven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Evelyn Mullins Vaughn, and Clara Adams; two brothers, Don Murray and wife, Phyllis, and Jim Murray and wife, Nancy; daughter-in-law, Frances Crawford; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6-8:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday at 1:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport and Pastor Chip McLain officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Glen Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
