Callie "Tady" Bennett Davis, 80, of Kingsport, passed away Friday, August 17, 2012, at Indian Path Medical Center after a brief illness.

Callie was born September 23, 1931, in Hawkins County and had resided in Kingsport her entire life. She worked at Kingsport Press and later at Wright's Country Cuisine. She was well known for her cakes and pies, especially her caramel cake.

She was a long time member of Victory Baptist Church.

Callie loved traveling, reading, politics, her family and her many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy G. Davis; parents, Donnie and Annie Vaughn Bennett; sisters, Nellie Waye and Erma Lee Fields Shively; brothers, William "Bud" Bennett and Gene Bennett.

Callie is survived by sons, Timothy Davis, Kingsport; Phillip Davis and wife, Nichole, Prattville, AL; and James Davis and wife, Amy, Gray; granddaughters, Haley and Abby, Prattville, AL; grandsons, Ben and Jack, Prattville, AL; brother, Darrell Bennett and wife, Frances, Kingsport; sisters-in-law, Colleen Bennett, Kingsport; Joyce Dykes and husband, Glen, Church Hill; several friends and family. She is also survived by her faithful companion and dog, Jake.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport, with Rev. Larry Morelock officiating. Graveside services will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
