Beloved son of Brenda and James Hall, devoted father to James, Jacob, and Kessa Hall, and a loving husband.
After a turbulent youth, James found his calling in the maritime industry, coming of age in his hometown of Baton Rouge, LA. Starting his career in the harbor fleets, he rose to great heights through grit and determination. Mentored by a remarkable captain known as "Pops," James earned recognition in Baton Rouge as a skilled young pilot—a reputation he upheld throughout his life.
Unwavering in his pursuit of excellence, James never lost sight of his family. He did what was necessary not because it was easy, but because he held himself to the highest standards.
"No matter what you choose to do with your life, strive to be the best at it. Settle for nothing less. Do not become complacent."
These were the guiding words he lived by, and they stand as his enduring legacy. In his passing, he would expect the same resolve and determination from those he cherished.
The Captain's Word is Law.
