BOLD PRINT: CARL COX
Carl Cox, 78, Fall Branch, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at Laughlin Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness.
He was a lifelong resident of Washington County and had attended Oak Hill Baptist Church.
Mr. Cox was a dairy farmer and had served on the boards of Washington County Farm Bureau, Washington County Farmers Co-Op, Dairyman Inc., Mid-AM, and Sudia. He was also a member of Turner Store Hunting Club. Mr. Cox was an avid hunter.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Cox, Fall Branch; son, Allen Cox and wife, Martha, Fall Branch; three grandchildren, Brent Cox and wife, Jeri, Casey Cox, and Buffy Casey and husband, Robert; three great-grandchildren, Kaleb Cox, Codie Cox, and Cheyenne Cox; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch.
Services will follow at 8 p.m. Friday at the Fall Branch Chapel with Rev. Victor Wallace officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at Oak Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Jonesborough. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery at 9:45 a.m.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mr. Cox?s hunting buddies and all local dairy farmers.
