Carl M. Gragg

Carl M. Gragg, 83, of Kingsport, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 14, 2012, at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center, following a brief illness. He retired from St. Dominic Catholic Church and School following 36 years of service. Following retirement, he worked part time alongside his wife for the Kingsport City School System. Carl was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, L. S. Gragg and Beatrice Bowlin Gragg; three brothers, Paul, Lewis and Bob Gragg.

Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Jewell K. Gragg, of Kingsport; daughter, Hope Gragg Guy, of Blountville; sons, John Gragg and wife, Kathleen, of West Palm Beach, FL and David Gragg and wife, Carletta, of Kingsport; two grandchildren, Brian Guy and Kristie Guy Bushong, two great grandchildren; sister, Louise Gray and husband, Leon, of Kingsport; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5-6:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport. A memorial service will follow at 6:00 p.m. with Father Mike Nolan officiating.
