Carl J. Hite

Carl J. Hite of Kingsport went to be with the Lord Thursday October 18, 2007 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.

He retired early from Holston Valley Medical Center OR Department after 40 years service due to illness.

Mr. Hite faithfully attended Pleasant View Baptist Church. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elbert and Mary Hite; four brothers, J. W., Calvin, Hanzel, and Homer; and two sisters, Geneva Floyd and Beatrice Bingham.

Surviving are his loving and devoted wife of 40 years, Shirley J. Hite of the home; his sister, Gracie Hite of Tampa, FL; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.

Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Wayne Baker officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday at East Lawn Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Brian Overbay, Jonathan Ward, Dewayne Bowen, Sam Odham, Claude Farmer, and Sam Gaither.
