Carl Lee

Carl Lee, 82, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on Tuesday, March 16, 2010. He was an active member of First Apostolic Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. He was a truck driver most of his life and loved to play checkers and read his bible. Carl will be missed by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, W.C. and Bertha Lee; brothers, Lyle, Charles, Howard, and W.H. Lee; and sisters, Alberta Ketron and Kathleen Meade.

Carl is survived by his wife, Evelyn Lee of Kingsport; step-daughter, Vanessa Sales and husband Jim of Monroeville, AL; step-sons, Darrell Shipley and wife Patricia of Monessen, PA, Alan Shipley and wife Lisa of Kingsport, and Doyle Shipley and wife Cindy of Kingsport; several grandchildren; brother, Rev. Grady Lee and wife Nadine of Kingsport; sister-in-law Gerri Lee of Kingsport and several special nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 5 pm to 7 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Elder Everett Lett and Rev. Fred Redmond officiating.

Burial will be on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in Oak Hill Memorial Park with military rites by American Legion Posts #3/275. Pallbearers will be Alan Shipley, Darrell Shipley, Doyle Shipley, Jim Sales, Todd Shipley, and Ray Fletcher.
