Carl E. Richardson, 79, of Kingsport, died at 11:40 p.m. Friday (May 2, 2014) at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
He was a lifelong resident of Kingsport. Carl was a 1954 graduate of Sullivan High School. He was employed with AFG for more than 40 years retiring in 2000.
Carl was preceded in death by his brothers Leslie Nelson Richardson and Arlen Richardson.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Robinette Richardson; daughter, Robin Richardson; son, Sam Richardson all of Kingsport; brother, Derrill Richardson and wife, Mary of Kingsport; and sister, Barbara Wallace and husband, Morris of Tampa, FL.
The family will receive friends from 11-1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7 at First Baptist Church. The service will follow at 1 p.m. with Dr. Marvin Cameron officiating.
The burial will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Roan See, Gary Brooks, Scott Treadway, and Phil Philyaw.
