Carl Fayne Smith, 61, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 6, 2012.
He worked for Eastman Chemical Company for 43 years, where he was a maintenance coordinator.
Carl attended Indian Springs Christian Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Emma Smith.
Carl is survived by his wife, Lasonijia Smith; daughters, Tonya Smith and Courtney Smith; son, Adam Smith and wife, Molly. He was Papa to McKenna Smith.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 5-7:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport. Services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. with Mr. Mike Beverly officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Hills Memory Gardens, Abingdon, VA.
