Carl Hagen Wells
Carl Hagen Wells, 98, Kingsport, passed away Sunday October 16, 2011 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. He was a World War II Veteran having served in the U.S. Army. Carl was of the Pentecostal faith and had owned and operated several businesses in Hawkins County.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and one sister.
Carl is survived by one brother, Fred Wells of Kingsport; one sister, Delray Clark of Church Hill and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 20th from 5:00 to 7:00pm at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport or at anytime at the home of Fred Wells. Services will be conducted following visitation at 7:00 pm with nephew James Poston officiating.
Military graveside services will be conducted on Friday, October 21st at 11:00am at Glencoe Cemetery in Big Stone Gap, Virginia by American Legion Post 3/265 and Virginia Army National Guard.
