Carole Ann Young, 54, of Johnson City, died Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at her home.
Born in Kingsport, Carole Ann was Valedictorian of her class at Dobyns-Bennett high school in 1974. She received her degree in Psychology at East Tennessee State University in 1978.
Carole Ann had a passion for travel and was fortunate to work in the travel industry for more than 30 years. She was a member of First Broad Street United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents Virginia and Joe Young.
Surviving are her brother Steve Young of Kingsport; sister Pam King and her husband Mike of Kingsport; nephews Richard Stephen Young, II of High Point, North Carolina, Michael Joseph King of Kingsport; special friends Rose and Kent Anders, Brenda and Natalie Barnett, Pam Carter, Sheila Hubbard, Janet Peavler, Mark Reynolds and Rocky Stump.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, October 17, 2010 at Oak Hill Memorial Park with Rev. Jack Edwards officiating. Friends may call at their convenience at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home in Kingsport.
Friends and family members are asked to meet at the graveside.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First Broad Street United Methodist Church at 100 E. Church Street, Kingsport, TN. 37660 or to the Johnson City Animal Shelter at 525 Sells Avenue, Johnson City, TN. 37604.
