Carolyn J. Collins

Carolyn J. Collins, 86, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on January 8, 2015. Born in Queens, NY, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Helen Stephanek Schrott. Carolyn was a grade school teacher in Long Island, NY for 30+ years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John James "Jack" Collins.

Carolyn is survived by her son, Jeffrey Kost and wife, Kathi of Kingsport; daughter, Meredith Kost and Alan Todd of Canada; 4 stepsons, Robert, John and wife, Karen, Richard, and Anthony and wife, Sue Collins; 2 step-daughters, Janet Spatz and Suzanne Collins; 18 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Jean Wendell and husband, Robert; several nieces and nephews; and special lifetime friend, Julie Gannon.

Arrangements are incomplete at this time and a memorial service will be announced at a later date.
