Carolyn Brookshire Hess

Carolyn Brookshire Hess, 72, of Kingsport, went to her heavenly home to be with Jesus on Tuesday, March 4, 2014.

Carolyn taught the Ladies Sunday School at Emmanuel Baptist Church and was a godly woman.

She was preceded in death by her parents, C. E. and Dorothy Juanita Brookshire; and niece, Renay Brookshire.

She is survived by her husband, Junior M. Hess of Kingsport; brother, Paul Brookshire of Blountville; sisters, Imogene Coffey of Kingsport, Mary Coffey and husband, John W. of Kingsport, and Dorothy Sage and husband, Bob of Carlisle, Ohio; her best and closest friend, Shirley Brookshire, who she dearly loved; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Emmanuel Baptist Church. Services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. David Powers and Rev. Tim Price officiating.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Monte Vista Memorial Park.
