Carolyn Johnson, 61, of Kingsport, passed away on Wednesday, August 4, 2010.
She was formerly of War, West Virginia and had lived in Florida. Carolyn attended Shiloh Baptist Church and Powerful New Life Church. She was a very outgoing person.
Her parents Erma Watson and Hubbard Hicks preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband, Willie David Johnson, Kingsport; daughter, Marcella Dunford, War, West Virginia; granddaughter, April Stevens; great-granddaughter, Lashea Smith; two sisters, Nancy Brewster, Statesville, North Carolina and Joann Garrard, Indianapolis, Indiana; one brother, Eugene Watson, Bluefield, West Virginia; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Monday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with Hugh Allen Hale officiating.
Burial will follow at Tri-Cities Memory Gardens. Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
