Carolyn J. Lowrance

Carolyn Lowrance, 83, passed away on April 2, 2024, at Holston Valley Medical Center after a brief illness. Carolyn was a lifelong resident of Fall Branch, TN. After graduating she married her high school sweetheart in September of 1960. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fall Branch.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Gordon Lowrance; her parents, John and Garnet Smith; sisters, Mary Lee Hood and Geraldine Palmer. 

Left to cherish her memory are her sister, Deborah Moffitt (Jerry); children, Pamela Gilliam, Phil Lowrance (Tina), and Leslie Hanneken (Chip); grandchildren, Josh Baxter (Sasha), Christina Sirvio (Olli Peka), Zachery Gilliam, Jobe Hanneken and Eli Hanneken; great-granddaughter, Zoe Baxter; and several nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends Saturday, April 6, from 12-2 pm at Hamlett Dobson Funeral Home Fall Branch, TN and anytime at the home. Funeral services will begin at 2 pm with graveside services immediately following the service at First Baptist Church of Fall Branch cemetery. 

Pallbearers will be Zachery Gilliam, Chip Hanneken, Jobe Hanneken, and Eli Hanneken.

The family of Carolyn Lowrance would like to extend a special thank you to the nursing and respiratory therapy staff at Holston Valley Medical Center ICU, and Dr. S. Malik.
