Carolyn Pack, 88, Kingsport, passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2014. She was born in Morristown, TN on December 11, 1925 and upon graduating from high school, she took a job in Oak Ridge, TN working for the Manhattan Project. After that she lived in various places around the southeast before moving back to Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Pack; parents, James and Zula Kirk; and sister, Billie Cockrum.
Carolyn is survived by her daughters, Jamie Hartman and husband, Larry of Kingsport, and Julie Bolton and husband, Mike of Anderson, South Carolina; grandchildren, Jason Hartman and wife, Gena of Chattanooga, TN, Byron Hartman and wife, Kelly of Falls Church, VA, Brad Bolton of Columbia, SC, and John Bolton of Greenville, SC; great-grandchildren, Jackson and Jameson Hartman, and Declan and Henry Hartman; brother, James E. Kirk, Jr. and wife, Biddie of Ocala, FL; sister, Middie Crosby of Jackson, MS; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Graveside services will be held at a later date in South Carolina.
