Carolyn Joann Gentry Roberts

Carolyn Joann Gentry Roberts, 69, of Kingsport, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2013. She was born on February 2, 1944 in Sullivan County, TN. Mrs. Roberts was of the Baptist faith. She was a loving mother and grandmother and her presence will be missed by many.

Mrs. Roberts was preceded in death by husband, Elmer Gentry; her mother, Beulah Mullins and husband, Dale Mullins; brothers, Bill Mullins and Larry Dee Mullins; and great-granddaughter, Alexis Chambers.

She is survived by four daughters, Carolyn Booker and Lloyd Booker, Debbie Sharpe and husband, Robert, Virita Rochester, Brenda Gentry and special daughter, Sarah Gentry; sisters, Mary Lawson and husband, Darrell, and Joyce Lifford and husband, Ben; brother, Ronnie Brewer and wife, Janie; grandchildren, Deana, Bobbie Jo, Ashley, Christol, April, Lydia, Jason, John, Chasity, Sarah and Christopher; and many beloved great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6-8:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport and at anytime at the home of Robert and Debra Sharpe. Funeral services will follow at 8:00 pm with Rev. Bobby Fletcher officiating. Music will be provided by Kelly Jennings, Justin Addington and Josh Mendenhall.

Graveside services will be conducted on Wednesday at 12:00 pm at Light Cemetery.
