Carolyn Axsom Shute, 70, passed away Saturday January 10, 2009 in Kingsport.
Born in Dante, VA, she had lived in Kingsport for the past 35 years.
Carolyn taught school for a number of years at Miller Perry Elementary School.
Surviving are daughters, Holly Shute Strunk and husband, David, Apopka, FL, and Joanna Shute Broadwater and husband, Gene, Apopka, FL; four grandchildren, Haley Strunk, Carson Broadwater, Andrew Strunk, Hayden Broadwater; sisters, Betty Begley, Kingsport, and Barbara Farris, Roscoe, IL; and brothers, Russell Norman Axsom, Kitty Hawk, NC, and Ralph Axsom, Jr., Dante, VA.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church with The Rev. Margaret Zeller officiating.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Salvation Army, 505 Dale Street, Kingsport, TN 37660.
