In Loving Memory of Carolyn Williams
Carolyn D Williams of Kingsport, TN, passed away on November 15, 2023, after a brief illness. She peacefully transitioned to her eternal rest.
Born on October 8th in Sneedville, TN, Carolyn dedicated many years of her life to the Eastman Chemical Company, where she was a loyal and dedicated employee in Printing Services. Her hard work and dedication were recognized and cherished by her colleagues and friends.
She was a member of Mt. View United Methodist Church where she was an engaged participant in Women in the Word Bible Study and found joy in her involvement with the Kingsport Senior Center. Carolyn participated in various activities and made lasting friendships along the way.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her mother, Eliza B Moore; Jane and Harold Williams, Tim Williams, Jake Williams, and Maynard Williams. May they find eternal peace together.
She had an immense love for her family, especially her daughter, Sherry Valk, and her grandchildren, Pieter and Gabriel Valk. She held a deep bond with her surviving relatives, including Sherry and Henere Valk, Pieter Valk, Gabriel and Laura Valk; devoted, loving sister; Louise Gray, as well as Brenda and Leroy Sumner, and Ronnie and Nancy Moore. Carolyn also had special nieces and nephews, Alice Williams, Angie Williams, and Beverly and Stephen Williams; and special friend, Tracie Hall.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Mt. View United Methodist Church. A Celebration of Carolyn's Life will follow, where Carolyn's life and legacy will be honored.
The family will have a private graveside service at Oak Hill Mausoleum.
The pallbearers, chosen to respectfully carry Carolyn to her final resting place, will be Pieter Valk, Gabriel Valk, Lee Valk, Andy Hall, Greg McMurry, and Joe White. Honorary pallbearers include Linda and Jim Gilliand, as well as the Women in the Word Bible Study and Carolyn's friends from the Kingsport Senior Center.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sullivan County Humane Society, where she adopted her cherished kitties, Boots and Baby.
