Carrie Ann DeVault, 39, was born on August 13th 1970, in Kingsport, and went to be with her Lord Jesus on September 27th, 2009.
Carrie was saved by the grace of God, and she loved the Lord. She was a member of Bloomingdale Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Sullivan North High School. She was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She was loved by many, and will never be forgotten. To her mom and dad she will always be "Punkin", the best thing that ever came from their lives.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, William Lewis Clark, her paternal grandparents, Bruce and Marie DeVault, and her great-grandparents, Gene and Dorothy Whitsell.
Carrie is survived by her mother and step-father, Sharon M. and Russell King, of Gray; her father, Jim DeVault, of Kingsport; stepfather, Ronnie Peters, two precious children she adored, Sara Ann Jones and Joshua Dalton Jones, of Kingsport; her wonderful grandmother, Dorothy B. Clark, "Memaw", whom she adored, was her hero; the father of her children, Mark A. Jones, also of Kingsport; "brother" and lifelong friend, Joey Swayze; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family will receive friends 6-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m with Rev. Johnny Gibson officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Ross Campground Cemetery. Tommy Clark, Jimmy Clark, David Clark, Richard Clark, Brian Clark, and Joey Swayze will serve as pallbearers.
