Carrie McClure, of Rogersville, died Friday morning, March 26, 2010. She was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County. She enjoyed feeding and watching birds in her front yard, and gardening, especially flower gardens.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey McClure; three sisters, Ida Arnold, Imer Arnold, and Irene McClure; four brothers, J. Fred Head, W.C. Head, McArthur Head, and Kenneth Head.
She is survived by a daughter, Karen Giraldez and husband, Rolando; two sons, Harvey Wesley McClure and James Hershel McClure and wife, Amy; granddaughter, Krystal Long; grandsons, Dylan Long, Dakota McClure, Ethan Giraldez, and Seth McClure; a sister, Alma Crawford; a brother, Denver Head and wife, Margaret; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch. Services will follow at 8:30, with Rev. Rex Miller officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at McPheeter s Bend Community Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Douglas Head, Steve Head, Dallas Head, Darrell Arnold, Jim Hall, and Ronnie Wright.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the charity of one s choice.
