Cassie Patrick

Cassie Patrick, 89, of Kingsport, died Friday night, October 10, 2008 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center after an apparent heart attack.

Born in Simpsonville, SC, Mrs. Patrick had resided in Kingsport since 1937. She had worked for several years at Borden Mills as a spinner.

Mrs. Patrick was a member of Vermont United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.

Surviving are her husband, George W. Patrick, Kingsport; two daughters, Patricia Arnold and husband Ronald, Kingsport and Sandra Johnson Wray, Knoxville; two sons, Larry W. Patrick Sr. and wife Linda, Kingsport and Thomas L. Patrick, Rogersville; four grandchildren, Rhondia Lightner and husband Randy, Larry W. Patrick Jr. and wife Kim, Liana Smith and husband Doug, and Amber Richardson and husband Deron; two great-grandchildren, Cyerra Turner and Leyton Patrick; two step-great-grandchildren, Phillip Lightner III and wife Lindsay and Victoria Lightner; two special nieces, Barbara Rector and husband Fred and Linda Elliott; several other nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Mary Malvitz of California.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Services will follow at 7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Graveside services will be conducted tat 11 a.m. Tuesday at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
