Catherine "Michele" Bolas, 36, fought a courageous battle with cancer and passed away on Sunday, April 22, 2012. Born in Kingsport May 9, 1975, she had resided in Kingsport her entire life. Michele graduated from Dobyns-Bennett High School in 1993 and also was a graduate of Barton's School of Cosmetology. She worked at The Barber Shop and owned Snips and Clips Salon in Kingsport. Michele loved spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews. She was a member of and attended Morrison Chapel United Methodist Church her entire life.
She was preceded in death by grandparents, Michael J. Bolas and Earla Bolas, and Earl Morgan and Edith Morgan; and two special uncles, Donald Morgan and Roger Morgan.
Michele is survived by her parents, Jack and Judy Henry, and Jerome and Rena Bolas; sister, Kim Bailey and husband, Philip; brothers, Chris Bolas and Rusty Henry and wife, Julie; nieces and nephews, Christian and Kelsey Bailey, and Taylor and Tanner Henry; best friends, Lindsey Duncan and Erica Grizzle; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 24th from 4-7:00 pm at First Broad Street United Methodist Church. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm with Pastor Ray Amos and Rev. Bill Porter officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted on Wednesday, April 25th at 1:00 pm at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be John Blessing, Gabe Bolas, Matt Bolas, Justin Morgan, Jeff Salyer and Johnny Salyers. Honorary pallbearers will be Christian and Kelsey Bailey and Taylor and Tanner Henry.
