Cecile Morritt, 88, of Kingsport, died at 6:15 a.m. Wednesday, December 9, 2009, at the home of her son, Eric Morritt.
She was an elementary school teacher in Sullivan County for a number of years. Mrs. Morritt was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley W. Morritt; brothers Clay Anderson and Paul Anderson; sisters, Ruby Cloninger, Hattie Robbins, Thelma Boyd, and Sara Anderson; and a cousin, Mary White.
Survivors include her son, Eric Morritt, of Kingsport; nieces, Lynn Carson and Judith Ann Helton, and nephews Joe White and Bruce Anderson, all of Kingsport.
Graveside services will be held at Washington County Memory Gardens on Friday at 11:00 a.m.
