Chad Templeton

Chad Templeton, 43, Church Hill, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 20, 2023.  Born in Kingsport, he was a 1998 graduate of Dobyns-Bennett High School.  Chad was a proud employee of Barnes Exterminating Company.  He was a devoted and loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend to many.  Chad’s family meant the world to him.

He was preceded in death by his infant son, Timothy; parents, Kay and Earline Templeton; and brother, Johnny Ray.

Chad is survived by his wife of 16 years, Melissa Templeton; twin daughters, Katelynn and Brooklynn Templeton; 2 sons, Tyler and Thomas Templeton; special daughter, Kara Keys; sister, Sharon Keys and husband, Tim; 2 brothers, Grant Templeton and wife, Gloria, and Dale Tulloch; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.  The funeral service will follow at 12:00 pm with Rev. Harold Shoemaker and Pastor Scott Price officiating.  Burial will follow in Oak Hill Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Templeton, Thomas Templeton, Grant Templeton, Tim Keys, Luke Templeton, Eric Tipton and Derek Pearcy.  Honorary pallbearers will be Byron Barnes and his staff at Barnes Exterminating Company.
