Chance Collins, 40 of Church Hill, formerly of Kingsport, died Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center after a brief illness. Born in Kingsport, where he resided most of his life, he was a 1990 graduate of Dobyns-Bennett High School. Chance had been a Harley-Davidson mechanic at his father's business, Custom Cycles, in Kingsport for many years. He brought laughter and life to anyone who had the opportunity to meet him and he will be missed by many.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Ruth Mann, and grandfather, Monroe Collins.
Chance is survived by his parents, Kenneth and Glynna Collins of Church Hill; brother, Anthony Collins of Church Hill; aunt, Teresa Mann of Knoxville; uncles, Ricky Mann of Florida and Chris Mann of Johnson City; special nieces, Nastasha and Katelyn Collins of Jonesborough; several other aunts, uncles and cousins; and many special friends.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 29th from 2-4:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport. A funeral service will follow at 4:00 pm.
