Charlene Yvonne Ball

Charlene Ball, 45, of Kingsport, passed away unexpectedly on Monday evening, April 26, 2010, at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. She was born in Indianapolis, IN, on February 1, 1965, and had lived in Kingsport for five years. Charlene was employed by the City of Kingsport in the Budget Department. The joy of her life was her son, Zackery.

Charlene was preceded in death by her grandparents, O. C. and Suzanne Combs, of Pennington Gap, VA, and Martin and Clara Ball, Norris, TN.

She is survived by her son, Zackery Ball, of Kingsport; her parents, Charles Harold and Dois Faye Ball, also of Kingsport;; sister Sarita Franks and husband, Robert, of Pelion, SC; brother James Ball, Indianapolis, IN; favorite niece, Abigail Franks, whom she loved dearly; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Services will be conducted on at 7:00 p.m., with Pastor George L. Winegar officiating.

Graveside services will be Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. at Lee Memorial Gardens in Woodway, VA.
