Charlene P. "Cookye" Wines

Charlene P. Wines, 73, Kingsport, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2015. She was a 50 year member of Kingsport Community Church and retired from Eastman after 37 years of service. Charlene was a lover of nature and even found beauty in spider webs. She was a servant to anyone in need or hurting. Charlene was a cherished wife, mother, sister, grandmother, friend and confidant.

She was preceded in death by her parents, C. Berk Parker and Ada B. Parker.

Charlene is survived by her husband, H.H. Wines, Jr.; daughter, Julia A. Wines and husband, John Thompkins of South Carolina; granddaughter, Kee Thompkins; and two sisters, Mrs. Patsye Rogers and the late, Robert Rogers, and Mrs. Janet Chesnutt and husband, Bobby Chesnutt.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6-8:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.
