Charles Edward Bell

Charles Edward Bell, 66, Kingsport, passed away unexpectedly Friday, December 28, 2007 at his home.

Born in Kingsport, he had lived here most of his life. He was a graduate of Sullivan West High School and served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Era. Charles retired from Eastman Chemical Company after 33 years of service in the Tenite Division.

He was an artist, a lover of the outdoors, and especially loved his two grandsons.

His father and mother, Charles H. and Effie Bell preceded him in death.

Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Peggy Bell, Kingsport; two daughters, Lisa Bell, Kingsport, Laura Ann Mutz and son-in-law, Jeffrey, Hudson, FL; one son, Wes Bell, Kingsport; two grandsons, Christian Michael Peden and Jackson Keller Peden; one brother, J. C. Bell and sister-in-law, Ruby of Sullivan Gardens; and two nephews, Aaron and Eric Bell.

Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.

Services will follow at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Rev. Jerry Davenport officiating.

Pallbearers will be Rocky Wade, Jack Arnold, Jeff Mutz, Johnny Arnold, Tom Bradshaw, and Troy Wade.

Honorary pallbearers will be Wes Bell and Alan Smith.
