Charles Boyer

Charles Boyer, 89, Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 4, 2013 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. He was a lifelong resident of Sullivan County and graduate of Sullivan High School and East Tennessee State University. Charles was a retired chemist from Eastman Kodak following 35 years of service. He was a member of Cassidy United Methodist Church. A good husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, who always put others before himself.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Boyer, Kingsport; daughters, Teresa Boyer of Nashville and Rebecca Warner and husband, Max, Kingsport; grandchildren, Caleb Gearing and wife, Samantha, Rhett Warner, Bartt Warner and wife, Michaela; great-grandchildren, Macy Warner and Raylan Gearing; and special neighbors, Tommy and Charlsie Poore, Kingsport.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2013, at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Chuck Griffin officiating.

The graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 7, 2013, at Oak Hill Memorial Park. The family will serve as pallbearers.
