Charles Wayne Cox

Charles Wayne Cox, age 83, of Kingsport, was called home by his Lord and Savior on Friday, March 7, 2025.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Nola Smith Cox; sister, Veda Crawford; and brothers, Fred and Donald Cox.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Sharon Land (Glenn “Eddie”), Shannon D. Cox (Shannon L.); sisters, Elizabeth Bible, Iva Cox, and Ruth Hill; grandchildren, Matthew Land (Megan and children, Carsten and Everleigh), Tyler Land (Amanda and son, Noah), Andrew Cox, Amanda Cox; and several nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.

The family will receive friends from 11:00am – 12:00pm on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at Hamlett Dobson Funeral Home and Memorial Park, Blountville. A committal will follow at 12:00pm with Pastor Mark Newman of First Baptist Church, Fall Branch officiating.

Pallbearers will be nephews, grandsons, and great-nephews.
