Charles Arthur Crawford, 71, passed away Monday, June 4, 2007, at his home.
Preceding him in death were his mother, Mattie Pullman Crawford; his father, Arthur Charles Crawford; three brothers, Kermit Crawford, Ralph Crawford, and Earl Crawford; three sisters, Hallie Light, Mantha Light, Edith Byington; and two infant sisters, Nell and Stell Crawford.
Surviving are two daughters, Violet Byers and husband, Steve, Kingsport, Eva Crawford, Fall Branch; one son, James Crawford, Fall Branch; two granddaughters, Rita and Lauren Byers, Kingsport; two sisters, Nora Bell Morelock and Irene Ramey both of Indiana; three brothers, J. C. Crawford, Rass Crawford, and Howard Crawford and wife, Lois, all of Kingsport; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Fall Branch, and any time at the home of his son, James Crawford, 211 Forrest Rd., Fall Branch.
Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Rev. Bob Simpson and Rev. Orville Dolen officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Light Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Andy Elliot, Mike Crawford, Doug Baskette, Doug Crawford, Johnny Arnold, and Rosco Morelock. Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Crawford and Ronnie Crawford.
