Charles Donihe, 77, of Kingsport, went to be with Jesus on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Brookdale Assisted Living. Born in Kingsport, he had resided in Atlanta from 1966 to 2011, before returning to Kingsport. He had retired from Williams Printing Company. His passions were writing poetry, painting water colors and traveling. Charles's greatest love was his family, spending time with them, and living life to the fullest.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eva and Garney Donihe; his wife of 43 years, Ann Queen Donihe; son, Mark Anthony Donihe; sisters, Shirley Fleming and Betty Lucas; and brothers, Bobby Donihe, Homer Donihe and Tommy Donihe.
Charles is survived by his daughter, Heather Murphy and husband, Mark; daughter-in-law, Lynn J. Donihe; 5 grandchildren, Mollie Donihe, Hill Donihe and Reid Donihe, Austin Murphy, and Sara Murphy; 4 sisters, Phyllis Cooper, Patricia Anderson and husband, Calvin, Linda McKee and husband, Randy, and Brenda Luster and husband, David; brothers-in-law, Herb Lucas and Jack Fleming; and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
