Charles Stokley (C.S.) Haney

Charles Stokley (C.S.) Haney, of Old Blairs Gap Road, Kingsport, formerly of Alexander, N.C., passed away at his home on Sunday September 6th at 11:50 p.m. after a five year battle with cancer, surrounded by family and friends.

He attended Gospel Mission Church. Charles retired from Eastman Chemical and also served in the U.S. Air Force for four and a half years.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents; Horace Andrew and Mary Jane Parris Ammons Haney; three brothers, Leroy Ammons, Marshall Haney, and Riley Haney; two sisters, Grace Ammons and Pearlie Jane Radcliff; one niece, Carolyn Radcliff; and father and mother-in-law, Claude Ceasar and Gennie Persilla Fox of Alexander, N.C.

He is survived by his wife, Minnie Mae Fox Haney, of 53 wonderful years; a daughter and son-in-law, Gary and Belinda Tolley of Limestone; three sons and daughter-in-law, Andy and Evelyn Haney, Roger and Claudene Haney of Rogersville, and Chris and Misty Haney of Kingsport; eight grandchildren, Kellie and husband, Josh Overstreet, Lyndsey and husband, Gareth Rowlands, Jessie Haney, Amanda and husband, Richard Curtis, Dakota Haney and Jacob Buchanan; Becky Shipley, Tanner Horton; five great-grandchildren, Jaxon, Jullien, and Kynslie Overstreet, Stokley Rowlands, and Azriel Curtis; sister, Sue McMahan of Alexander, N.C.; sister-in-law, Cathy Haney of Alexander, N.C.; a brother-in-law, Orville Radcliff of Leciester, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch Chapel. The service will follow at 8 p.m. with Pastor Lewis Meade officiating.

A graveside service with military honors will be conducted on Thursday at 11 a.m. at East Tennessee Cemetery by American Legion Post 3/265.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be Murley Brannon and Ron Gouge.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 508 Princeton Rd # 102, Johnson City, TN 37601.
