Charles Melton Eberhart III

Charles Melton Eberhart III, 47, of Nashville, died February 10, 2014 in Nashville, Tennessee. He spent his boyhood years in Kingsport.

He graduated from the Landmark School, from West Virginia Wesleyan College, and earned a Master's degree from Simmons College. After college, he returned to the Landmark School where he joined the staff, teaching art and math. He later worked in the insurance industry, most recently managing claims for Tennessee Steel Haulers in Nashville.

Charlie enjoyed spending time with his many friends, throwing pottery, playing golf, and fishing. Predeceased by his father, he is survived by his mother, Joyce of Kingsport; sisters Elaine, of Rochester, MN, and Anne and husband, Jim Henson, of Johnson City; an aunt, uncles, cousins and many dear friends.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday at 11:30 am at Oak Hill Memorial Park.

The memorial service will be conducted at 12:00 pm on Saturday, at First Broad Street United Methodist Church with Rev. Mickey Rainwater and Dr. J. Spurgeon McCartt presiding. The family will receive friends following the service.
