Charles "Charlie" Mullins, 73, of Kingsport, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2015. He graduated from Dryden High School. Charlie retired from Eastman Chemical Company. He was a member of Sullivan Baptist Church. Charles was a member of Serenity Improvement Group of A.A. with 42 years of sobriety.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Beeler and Geneva Mullins; brothers, James, Joe, George, Franklin, General, and Tennessee; and sister, Dora.
Charlie is survived by his son, Beeler Mullins and wife, Karen of Kingsport; daughter, Tracy Sumpter Cox of Kingsport; 5 grandchildren, Heather Russell and husband, Jason, Michaela and husband, Bartt Warner, Sydney Sumpter, Beeler Mullins and Mackenzie Sumpter; 4 great-grandchildren, Macy, Maddie, Natalie and Beeler; siblings, Earl Mullins and wife, Beatrice of Tazwell, TN, Cecil Mullins of Frankford, IN, Bill Mullins and wife, Wanda of Dryden, VA, and Juanita Freeman of Pennington Gap, VA; and special friend, Marla Kochelek.
The family will be holding a Celebration of Life on Tuesday from 5-7:00 pm at Sullivan Baptist Church, Fellowship Hall.
