Charlie Lee Murray 61 of Fall Branch died Sunday evening April 15, 2012 in Kingsport after injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born in Kingsport, he had resided in Fall Branch since 1994. Charlie had worked as a master brick mason for many years. He was an avid Civil War collector. He was a Baptist and enjoyed playing music on his guitar.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Buster James Murray and Mammie Ruth Dykes Murray; several aunts & uncles; and his grandparents, Bert & Dora Dykes.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Evans Murray of the home; daughter, Melissa Kennedy of the home; son, Bobby Murray & wife, Angie, Kingsport; grandchildren, Lisa Seymore and Joshua Roller; great grandson, Aron Seymore; sisters, Wanda Starnes and Tammy Sparks, Fall Branch, Tina Murray, Kingsport; brothers, James Murray and Paul Murray, Fall Branch; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 19, from 5-7 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson, Fall Branch. A graveside service will be conducted on Friday at 2:00 pm at Bethany Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Lelbert Thornburg officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
