Charles Patton "Pete" Dishner

Charles Patton "Pete" Dishner, 83, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord Wednesday July 11th, 2018 at home after a lengthy illness.

He retired from AFG, Kingsport, after several years of service. He was a Godly man who walked daily with the Lord. Although his health failed, he patiently waited to be reunited with his beloved wife.

Pete was preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years, Grace Huffman Dishner; parents, Ernest and Mary Sells Dishner, four sisters and two brothers

He is survived by two daughters, Gail Light and husband Lynn, and Charlotte D. Patterson and husband Mike; one grandchild, Heather Canter and husband, Cliff; three great-grandchildren, Abby, Jacob, and Hunter; and several nieces and nephews, all of whom are special.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 14th, 2018, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 15th, 2018, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport with Rev. Pete Smith and Rev. Dewey Shaffer.

Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Ricky France, Frankie Hayes, Homer Hayes, Mike Hayes, Ray Hayes and Ralph Jackson. Honorary Pallbearers are Johnny Hayes, Junior Blakely and Wayne Hayes.
