Charlie T. Cox

Charlie T. Cox, 86, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 25, 2016. He was in the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War. Charlie retired from Grief Bros, and was a 64 year member of The Mason Lodge 559. He attended Kendrick's Creek United Methodist Church and enjoyed playing Canasta with Mary and Linda.

He was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Daniel Cox; sisters, Pauline Ward and Annie Bailey; and brothers, Grover Cox and Wilson Cox.

Charlie is survived by his wife of 39 years, Wilma Bunch Cox; daughter, Brenda Sue Pruett; son, Dennis Cox; two step-sons, Tony McFarland and Terry McFarland; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with Rev. Susan Lankford officiating.

Burial will follow at East Tennessee Cemetery.

Masonic service performed by Lodge 559.
