Charlotte Horne

Charlotte Faye Ashworth Horne, 68, Sulphur Springs Community, went to be with her Heavenly Savior at 4:30 p.m., Sunday, July 3, at her home, unexpectedly.

Charlotte was born in Wise County, VA, and had resided in the Kingsport area for several years. She had resided in Sulphur Springs for the past 22 years.

She was an employee of Plus Mart, Inc. in Greeneville, retiring in 1997. She was a member of New Haven Church.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Howard and Jean Ashworth and three infant brothers.

She is survived by her husband, Lonnie B. Horne, Jonesborough Sulphur Springs; one son, Greg Horne and wife, Janie, Gray; grandson, Colton Horne; stepmother, Rena Ashworth, Norton, VA; sister, Peggy Ramey and husband Howard, Church Hill; brother, Carson "Pete" Ashworth and wife Wendy, Church Hill; brothers-in-law, Junior Horne and wife Linda, Bristol, and Jim Horne, Bristol; sisters-in-law, Betty Lane, Charlotte, NC, Brenda Horne, Bristol; and several nieces and nephews; cousins, family and friends.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 6, from 5 to 7 p.m., at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. in the Chapel with Rev. Keith Williams and Rev. Jason "Bo" Castle officiating. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 7, 2011, at Washington County Memory Gardens.
