Charlotte McKay

Charlotte McKay died May 5, 2018 after an extended illness. Charlotte was a graduate of East Tennessee State University, and an educator in the Sullivan County school system for 35 years. She taught at Bell Ridge Elementary and was later principal there. She was an active member of the First Presbyterian church, Kingsport Tennessee, where she served as elder, deacon and Church Circle chairman. She was also moderator of Presbyterian Women. Charlotte was a member of Alpha Delta Kappa sorority for women educators, and served on that organizations' executive board. She was an accomplished artist and floral designer.

She is survived by a daughter Margaret (Marty) McKay Brennan and son-in-law Mark Brennan, of Plano, Texas, and the loves of her life, her grandchildren, Susan Brennan Stern of Plano, Texas and Matthew Daniel Brennan of Dallas, Texas.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, May 15th at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Sharon Amstutz officiating. The family will receive friends at the church following the service.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations to be sent to First Presbyterian Church, 100 W. Church Circle, Kingsport, TN 37660.
