Chia Pi Lin

Chia Pi Lin, 74, passed away September 12th, 2022 in Blountville, Tennessee.

Chia Pi suffered from Parkinson’s for many years and her family wants to thank the staff at Christian Care in Blountville for providing care to her in the last couple of years.

She is survived by three children, five siblings and seven grandchildren.  Chia Pi was born in Taiwan in 1948. She and her husband migrated their family to southern California in 1988. She became the main breadwinner to support her husband’s dreams of opening a business and earned her living working as a nanny for the wonderful Myint family in San Marino for over ten years. 

Chia Pi was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2007. A few years later she retired from her position at 99 Ranch Market’s deli department and moved to east Tennessee to be closer to her children and grandchildren. Over the last decade of her life she was able to enjoy grandparenthood without having to work or worry about making ends meet.

Her condition deteriorated in the last few years and she required full time nursing care. She passed knowing she set her children and grandchildren on a path to better and more prosperous lives.
