Chris Cabell

Chris Cabell, 49, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord Friday, January 20, 2012 at her home. She was born in Lebanon, Virginia and had resided in Kingsport for the past 15 years. Chris was a 1981 graduate of Honaker High School. She had worked for People's Bank for several years and had attended Homeland Baptist Church. Chris was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister and had a heart of gold.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Sykes and nephew, Derek Cabell.

Chris was survived by her husband, Robert Cabell of Kingsport; son, Adam Cabell of Kingsport; daughter, Brittney Cabell and fiancé, Benjamin W. Moore, III of Emory, VA; granddaughter, Sydney Grace Moore of Emory, VA; mother, Eura Gay Sykes of Honaker, VA; sister, Janet Gauldin of Honaker, VA; brothers, Jeff Sykes and wife, Valarie; Michael Sykes and Tim Sykes, all of Honaker, VA; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 from 5-7:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport. Services will follow at 7:00 pm with Pastor Steve McCoy and Pastor Bob Belcher officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at 11:00 am at East Lawn Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Cabell, Tim Cabell, Michael Cabell, Mick Bostic, Michael Bostic, Doug Miller and Benjamin W. Moore, III.
