Christine G. Faust, Kingsport, went to be with the Lord Thursday, October 11 at her home. Mrs. Faust was born in Pikeville, KY, and had been a long-time resident of Kingsport. Christine was a commissioned lay pastor for Holston Presbytery, serving several area churches.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, E. D. Faust; two daughters, Dee Dee Mitchell and companion B. J. Luther, Spartanburg, SC, and Tami Minnick and husband Bud, Kingsport; one son, Wes Faust and wife Tina, Morristown, TN; four grandchildren, Chris and Scott Mitchell, Julie Crane, and Thomas Faust; three step-grandchildren, Dustin, Matt, and Joey Minnick; two greatgrand-children, Dalton Mitchell and Drake Limbaugh; and a sister, Erma Hall and husband Clay, Kingsport.
The family would like to express special thanks to hospice nurses Mary, Sheila, and Linda, and special friends Lorraine, Joyce, and Wanda.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at East Lawn Memorial Park. A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Reedy Creek Presbyterian Church, 6044 Orebank Rd., Kingsport, with Dr. Ira Howard and Rev. Bob Lowry officiating. The family will receive friends following the memorial service at the church.
