Clara DeVault
Clara DeVault, 97, of Kingsport, died Friday, November 11, 2011.
She was a lifelong resident of Sullivan County and a graduate of Dobyns-Bennett High School. Clara had worked as a sales clerk at J. Fred Johnson, Miller's, and King's Department Stores for many years.
Clara was a member of First Broad Street United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Nellie DeVault; one sister, Juanita Shelton; and three brothers, Carl, Earl, and Sam DeVault.
Survivors include one brother, Fred E. DeVault of Kingsport; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Oak Hill Memorial Park with Dr. J. Spurgeon McCartt officiating.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday at Elmcroft Assisted Living, 901 Teasel Drive, Kingsport with Dr. J. Spurgeon McCartt officiating. The family will receive friends following the memorial service.
