Clara Lou "Snooks" Kitzmiller

Clara Lou “Snooks” Kitzmiller, age 90, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at Greystone Healthcare, Blountville, TN. Born in Sullivan County, TN on November 24, 1933, she was the daughter of Samuel Walker Necessary and Ollie Myrtle McClain Necessary. Clara had resided in this area all of her life and attended The Way of Life Baptist Church.

Mrs. Kitzmiller was preceded in death by her husband, Richard “R.C.” and son, Scott Kitzmiller. 

Survivors include her sons, Rick and Tim Kitzmiller of Kingsport; daughter, Gale Tapscott and husband, Bobby of Knoxville; grandchildren, April Michelle Merchant, Chad Moretz, Whitney and Nick Young, and Alex Kitzmiller; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, in the Garden of Everlasting Life at Hamlett-Dobson Memorial Park, 2630, Hwy. 75, Blountville, TN. The service will be officiated by Pastor Johnny Gibson.
