Clarence Burton Booth, 92, moved to His Father's Home on Tuesday morning, February 14, 2012 at Wellmont Holston Valley Hospital after a brief illness.

He was born in Cambridge, OH on June 9, 1919, moving to Kingsport in 1986 to be near his daughter and grandchildren. Mr. Booth was self-employed, owning a vending company, a restaurant, a dental lab and working in the insurance business for many years. He was a member of Indian Springs Baptist Church where he enjoyed being an usher and attending the Men's Bible Sunday School Class No. 4.

Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, Walter R. and Cassie Booth; and brother, William E. Booth.

He is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy McConnell Booth, and would have celebrated 70 years of marriage on February 22; his daughter, Barbara Hasty and husband, Brad; grandchildren, Matthew Hasty and wife, Marie, Manchester, NH, Stephen Hasty and wife Aundrea, DeRidder, LA, Daniel Hasty and wife, Martha, East Lansing, MI, and David Hasty, Gray TN; great grandchildren, Eli, Bryn, Hannah, Emily and Noah Hasty. Lovingly known as Peepa, he will be missed by family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. on Friday, February 17, at Indian Springs Baptist Church. The memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. with grandson, Rev. Matthew Hasty officiating.

Entombment will be conducted at Tri-Cities Memory Gardens. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons and the Men's Bible Sunday School Class No. 4 of Indian Springs Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Indian Springs Baptist Church, 325 Hill Rd., Kingsport, TN 37664; Gideons International, 4511 Timberlake Lane, Kingsport TN 37664; or Grace Haven Baptist Church, 301 South Main St., Manchester NH 03102.
