Clarence "Joe" Cobb

Clarence Joe Cobb, 79, of Kingsport, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday morning, January 8, 2025, at his home after an extended period of poor health. He was born in Kingsport and had lived there his entire life. Joe was a boxer and was known by the nickname "Left Hook." He was also an electrician, owning his own company and crew to perform contract work. Later, Joe joined the IBEW and worked on various projects. He was a member of Central Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother; and sister.

Joe is survived by his wife, Donna Cobb; children, Joe Cobb Jr. and Patty, Donna Hammond, Landon Cobb, Bo Rogers, Daniel Rogers and Della Davis, and Shane Rogers; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. 

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 17, 2025 from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Tim Risner officiating. Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park.
